After the likes of Pele, Maradona and Lionel Messi, it’s Kolkata’s time to see the likes of Ronaldo, Paolo Maldini, Sami Kuffour, Christian Karembeu in action!
Come January 15 next year, the above mentioned former international stars are to play an exhibition tie against several ex-Indian international players with Bhaichung Bhutia to lead the side.
Football Players Association of India (FPAI) are to put together an India side for the event which is organized by Delhi-based JPR Events. It is reliably learnt that the name of Shyam Thapa is doing the rounds to lead the India side.
The Indian Football Association (IFA), the state football body for West Bengal, have already given their green signal to the event organizers.
