Two unidentified men shot three rounds of bullet, injuring one person in front of Ghantaghar in the capital on Monday.
The injured Faisal Ahmed, 41, General Secretary of Islamic Sangh succumbed to his injuries at Bir Hospital.
Ahmed, who hails from Sunsari had multiple wounds, informed our correspondent Sundar Khanal.
There are around 15 holes in his body, according to doctors at Bir
Hospital. He had sustained bullet injuries in his head, chest and neck.
Demanding resignation of home minister, Ahmed´s relatives have staged protest and have obstructed traffic in front of Ghantaghar.
They have also accused home minister of not being able to maintain security in the capital. One of the relative of the deceased told our reporter that they have vowed to protest till home minister resigns from the post.
Police are assuming the killers may belong to the same group which killed Jamim Shah and attacked Yunus Ansari in jail.
Although police arrested Manmeet Singh immediately after he attacked Ansari, they are yet to nab other members of the group.
The assailants are still at large. According to an eyewitness, the shooters fled towards Kamladi. Police have intensified the search to find the absconding murderers.
