Facebook to be destroyed on November 5, 2011

Hacking group "Anonymous" has vowed to "destroy" Facebook on Nov. 5 2011 Or more accurately, somebody has set up a Twitter account and YouTube channel to announce a plan dubbed "Operation Facebook."
With the loosely affiliated hacktivist collective, it's always tough to know what's real, what's a feint, and what's a solo effort by some ambitious Anon to marshal the troops.
If Operation Facebook is real, it could mark a new phase for Anonymous, which in recent weeks has joined forces with the remnants of the more tightly knit hacker group LulzSec to target law enforcement agencies in  an ongoing operation called Antisec.
The "press release" announcing Operation Facebook does tie it in with Antisec, however.
"Facebook is the opposite of the Antisec cause," reads the release, a full copy of which plus a video version is published below. Facebook, which "knows more about you than your family," according to the press release, "has been selling information to government agencies and giving clandestine access to information security firms so that they can spy on people from all around the world."
The author exhorts others to "join the cause and kill [F]acebook for the sake of your own privacy." The press release also includes links to an article about ACLU objections to Facebook's privacy settings and another complaining about the social networking site's use of smartphone data.
The Nov. 5 date is significant—that's the date commemorating Guy Fawkes and his co-conspirators' failed plot to blow up England's House of Lords in 1605. Though Guy Fawkes Day has historically been celebrated in England for the unraveling of that plot, Alan Moore's graphic novel V for Vendetta and a later film of the same name helped make Fawkes a sort of anarchist anti-hero in popular culture.
Anonymous has a particular attachment to Guy Fawkes Day, with members donning V for Vendetta-inspired Guy Fawkes masks for some of the collective's earliest known public actions, such as a project to discredit Scientology in 2008.

Here's the Anonymous press release and accompanying video message:

Message:
Attention citizens of the world,
We wish to get your attention, hoping you heed the warnings as follows:
Your medium of communication you all so dearly adore will be destroyed. If you are a willing hacktivist or a guy who just wants to protect the freedom of information then join the cause and kill facebook for the sake of your own privacy.
Facebook has been selling information to government agencies and giving clandestine access to information security firms so that they can spy on people from all around the world. Some of these so-called whitehat infosec firms are working for authoritarian governments, such as those of Egypt and Syria.
Everything you do on Facebook stays on Facebook regardless of your "privacy" settings, and deleting your account is impossible, even if you "delete" your account, all your personal info stays on Facebook and can be recovered at any time. Changing the privacy settings to make your Facebook account more "private" is also a delusion. Facebook knows more about you than your family.

http://itgrunts.com/2010/10/07/facebook-steals-numbers-and-data-from-your-iphone/
You cannot hide from the reality in which you, the people of the internet, live in. Facebook is the opposite of the Antisec cause. You are not safe from them nor from any government. One day you will look back on this and realise what we have done here is right, you will thank the rulers of the internet, we are not harming you but saving you.
The riots are underway. It is not a battle over the future of privacy and publicity. It is a battle for choice and informed consent. It's unfolding because people are being raped, tickled, molested, and confused into doing things where they don't understand the consequences. Facebook keeps saying that it gives users choices, but that is completely false. It gives users the illusion of and hides the details away from them "for their own good" while they then make millions off of you. When a service is "free," it really means they're making money off of you and your information.
Think for a while and prepare for a day that will go down in history. November 5 2011, #opfacebook . Engaged.
This is our world now. We exist without nationality, without religious bias. We have the right to not be surveilled, not be stalked, and not be used for profit. We have the right to not live as slaves.
We are anonymous
We are legion
We do not forgive
We do not forget
Expect us

Tottenham 4-0 Liverpool: Modric, Defoe & Adebayor on target as Adam & Skrtel red cards sum up dreadful day for Dalglish

Four goals from Spurs illustrates the sheer control Harry Redknapp's men had as Kenny Dalglish could do little as his side imploded in a horrific display from the Merseyside outfit

Luka Modric, Tottenham v Liverpool
Getty Images
A dominant display from Tottenham with goals from Luka Modric, Jermain Defoe and a brace from Emmanuel Adebayor were too much for Liverpool as the visitors had Charlie Adam and Martin Skrtel sent off in a game which the home side controlled from start to finish.

Tottenham erased any memories of the drubbing to Manchester City as home debutants Adebayor and Scott Parker started against a Reds side who never looked like winning.

The home side had set themselves up to get at Liverpool right from the first whistle. Adebayor could have banished any memories of his Arsenal days when his effort after four minutes spilled wide of the Liverpool goal. The move was instigated by the Togolese man and involved Niko Kranjcar, but the final touch was wayward.

Severe earthquake rocks Sikkim, 13 killed

The 2011 Sikkim earthquake was a damaging magnitude 6.9 Mw earthquake that occurred in Sikkim, northern India, near the Sikkim-Nepal border at 18:10 IST (12:40 UTC) on Sunday, 18 September 2011. The earthquake was felt across northeastern India, Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh. The quake came just after few days after an earthquake of 4.2 magnitude hit Haryana's Sonipat district, sending tremors in New Delhi.
At least nine people were killed in the earthquake. In Sikkim, four are reported dead, with reports of fatalities in and near Singtam in the East Sikkim district.Several buildings collapsed in Gangtok. Five are reported dead in Nepal, including three killed when a wall of the British Embassy in Kathmandu, Nepal collapsed. In Tibet, building collapse was reported in Dinggyê and Gamba.

Geology

The magnitude 6.9 (Mw) earthquake occurred inland at 12:40 UTC on 18 September 2011, at Mangan and Sakyong areas, about 68 km (42 mi) northwest of Gangtok, Sikkim at a shallow depth of 19.7 km (12.2 mi). At its latitude, the continental Indian and Eurasian Plates converge with one another to produce a tectonic boundary beneath the mountainous region of northeast India near the Nepalese border. Although earthquakes occurring along the interface of the boundary are usually of interplate nature, preliminary data suggests the Sikkim earthquake was triggered by shallow strike-slip faulting from an intraplate source. Initial analyses also indicate a complex setup, with the perceived tremor likely being a result of two events occurring close together in time at similar focal depths.

Located at shallow depth beneath the surface, the earthquake caused strong shaking in many areas adjacent to its epicenter. The strongest shaking occurred to the west in Gangtok and further south in Shiliguri, although similar ground motions registering at MM VI (strong) on the Mercalli scale were recorded in many smaller towns across elevated regions. Lighter tremors (MM IV–III) spread southward through populous regions, with these motions reported in the Bihar capital of Patna and as far southwest as Bihar Sharif. In all, the earthquake was felt in Nepal, India, Bhutan, and China. Tremors were felt in Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura, parts of West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chandigarh and Delhi states of India. In Tibet, the earthquake could be felt in Shigatse and Lhasa.

Aftershocks

Sikkim experienced 3 aftershocks since the earthquake, occurring at magnitudes of 5.7, 5.3, and 4.6 (Mw) within 30 minutes of the mean quake.

India

Four people were reportedly killed in Sikkim, out of which two at Singtham, one at Dikchu in East Sikkim district and another at Mangan. One person was killed in Jalpaiguri district in West Bengal and another in Nalanda district in Bihar.

Nepal

In Kathmandu, three people were killed when a wall at the British Embassy collapsed. Another two people were killed in the western city of Dharan

5 Ways to Make Money Online in Nepal

Everyone in this world requires some sort of jobs to live happily. Getting a job in Nepal has become very difficult these days. It is due to the lack of companies and industries in comparison to the population. This is the reason why most of the Nepalese students try to go abroad to get quality education as well as to earn money.

Keeping in mind the above situation, I would like to show you the ways to make money online and work from home in Nepal. Since the existence of the internet, most of the people have been making money on the internet adopting different strategies. However, there are few people in Nepal who are aware of opportunities to earn money online.

A basic search in Google will show you many ways to make money online. But unfortunately, all of those options are not applicable in Nepal. So, I have listed below some of the possible online jobs in Nepal.

  1. Blogging

One of the best option to make money online is to create a blog or website that allows you earn money by displaying the advertisements and selling the products or services. Generally, setting up a website or blog in your own domain looks more professional but if you are a beginner, you can go for free blog services like blogger.com. Learn how to create a blog in blogger.

  2. Affiliate Marketing

This method of making money online involves promoting a specific services or products and earning commissions whenever the customers make a purchase through your referral link. If done correctly, affiliate marketing is the most powerful way to make money online. Amazon, ClickBank and Commission Junction are the three biggest affiliate marketplaces.

  3. Data Entry Jobs

Data Entry jobs are probably the most easy way to earn money online as it does not require any professional skills. Online data entry involves entering the data in spreadsheets, databases and web pages using a keyboard or other input devices. You should be more careful while searching for these kinds of jobs as more that 90% of them are scam (Read online job scams in Nepal). Generally, data entry jobs do not require you to pay any fee. You can start working as a data entry freelancer at GetAFreelance.com based on projects.

  4. Google Adsense

To make money from Google Adsense, you need to apply for an account at Adsense.com. After having an Adsense account you can put ads on your websites or blogs. Whenever someone clicks on your ads, you will be credited the amount. The more your adsense ads get clicked the more you will earn. Many webmasters are making huge money online each month through this program.

  5. Freelance Jobs

Freelance means to provide your your services directly to your customers. As a freelancer you do not have to work under the pressure of the company. The most common types of freelancing service includes web designing, programming, graphic designing, internet marketing, online data entry, online writing, etc. If you are specialized in these types of services then you can freelance your work on the internet.
Conclusion

There are different ways to make money online and work from home. Above are the methods that I found appropriate in Nepal and besides you need to find out other money making opportunities as well. Remember, to earn money on the internet successfully, you need to dedicate your time, effort and keep your patience.
